Needless to say things around here continue to evolve! This age is soooooo much fun! These little girls are the happiest girls around, well, that is what everyone who meets them says. I have not been around many babies in my day so I really don't know really what to expect, but according to EVERYONE they are super smiley and happy! I love it! I always pray that they are happy girls, that is after all my never ending goal in life from here on out, to do my best to see they are happy!
Monday I had my first "stay-at-home-Mom" experience. Our soon to be neighbors the Wisniewski family had a birthday party for their son Nathan. Going to a b-day party on a Monday afternoon hit me as a very stay-at-home or "family manager" (as the membership coordinator at our new church so graciously put it) thing to do. It was a ton of fun, 6ish year olds running around everywhere! Here are a few pics from that party:
Sydney is still doing super with her sitting, Brooke and Taylor can also do it, but they constantly have ants in their pants and don't stay still long enough to have good sit time, they topple over right away. Way to sit still my darling, your progress and posture is noted!
Taylor has been having a tough time going to bed latly. She either falls asleep and wakes up a half hour later (just time enough that her sisters are fast asleep and she wakes them, or, like tonight, she can't fall asleep at all). We think it is due to her teeth, and since we don't want all three wide awake, we have been bringing her downstairs with us and trying to comfort her. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. We find that when we hold her and interact with her she plays and smiles and it is like there is nothing bothering her at all. We have resorted to putting the swing in the play room with lullaby music on and eventually she dials it down and fall fast asleep. Tonight she was asleep by 9, other nights it has been almost 11. It is tough especially since I covet a few hours baby-free each night. I think it is a phase and she will work through it, but based on all the reading we have done it takes three days to break a good habit and we really want her on the same schedule as her sisters, purely for our sanity!
Brooke is as I always say, being Brooke...she never ceases to crack me up. I though I would play with her a little putting the cloth over her head, Sydney loves this peek-a-boo game and pulls the cloth right off her head. Not Brooke, she leaves it on and scoots around trying to figure out why she can't see. It is pretty cute!
