And I am not talking about the 80's sitcom with Ted Knight!!!! I am talking about the tornado that hit one mile north of us on the 1st day of Summer. It was scary!!!!! Chris was in Orlando for the day and thank God got home just before the storm began. I was also having "girls night", like I do every Monday night so Donna and Sue were over as well. I think I would have freaked out had Chris not been home and the girls had not been over. Being alone on a major storm with three babies is not something I ever want to deal with! The news said it was heading straight toward us, so we grabbed the girls and headed into the basement. A tornado had touched down in Eagle not far from us and leveled many houses. It was a crazy night, but the girls were great! Once it had passed they went right back down to sleep, what troopers! Hopefully we will never be this close to being in a tornado again, but I will say it motivated me to create an emergency box of supplies to keep in the basement, so we will be prepared if we are. It was so sad to drive around the area and see all the damage, beautiful old trees, snapped and up rooted. Many roofs had damage and Sue, who lives on Little Muskego Lake said there were many piers damaged and boats flipped, etc. Crazy how our neighborhood was out of the path, but both of my friends who were over that night live where the tornado hit. Thank goodness neither had any major damage and everyone was safe!!!!! It is amazing how a storm scare like that now brings such a different sense of concern, having to worry about three little ones. Getting the babes and the bouncy chairs and a few misc items is impossible to get to downstairs in one trip :( Please...let's not get that close again!!!!!
