Week Seven

We are getting closer! The word from the doctor is that we should have two if not three babies home for Thanksgiving! Yeah!!!!!! The girls are on event recorders for the weekend which is a 48 hour tracking of alarms they may have. Alarms are things like heart rate drops, apnea or O2 de-saturations. On Monday the doctor will look at the print out and determine if the girls will be going home on monitors. If they do they really would just be hooked up when they are sleeping or we are not with them (don't think that will be all that often.) Anyway, it is nice in a way to have that sense of security knowing they are still breathing in the middle of the night.

On the other hand if they determine they do not nee the monitors at home that mean they had no alarms that were of concern which is a wonderful thing.

All three girls will also be going through their car seat tests this weekend. This is where they put the girls in the car seat for an hour and monitor if they have any alarms. Taylor had her first test last weekend and did not pass just yet. It is a matter of their size really and if the seat is still to big for them they slouch and that can cause apneas and or bradys. It if not the end of the world if they do not pass it just means they are too little to be in an actual car seat so we will be borrowing car beds from the hospital until they are big enough to sustain themselves properly in the cars seats we bought.
