It's Shower Time

A friend of mine who has 3 year old twins and is getting ready for a family vacation to Mexico and was asking me my opinion on what she should do about bathing because there aren't bath tubs at the resort they are staying at. She said her kids are scared of the shower at home, so it is a real dilemma. It made me think a little because we will be spending time up North at Grandma and Grandpa's house and with the bathroom renovation there is no longer a bath tub. I know last year we faced it and the girls were small enough that we figured it out in the shower with a bin I think. Anyway, to make a long story short, I was curious how the girls would do in the shower. Chris was all in for a trial run in our shower to see how the girls would react. We have a hand held shower head which makes rinsing super easy, we put on their water shoes so they wouldn't slip and we were ready to see what would happen.

We decided to do each girl individually, Chris did the washing and I dried and diapered them. There was A LOT of crying, but, not because they were scared of the shower, it was because they did not want to get out!!! It was insane, Taylor went first and the minute she was done and Brooke went in she began freaking out and didn't stop until we left the bathroom after everyone was done. Same scenario with Brook. Syd was pretty chill, except she was mad when she had to come out too, it just didn't last as long. WOW!!! I am thrilled that they absolutely loved the experience. I think next time I will take the clean baby into another room so as not to taunt her seeing her sisters get a chance in the awesome shower!

These girls amaze me over and over at how open to new things they are and for the most part are not scared of much. I am so proud they are not scared of everything, I think that would be tough on me, because Chris and I are typically up for trying anything once, and it would probably be frustrating to me if they were wussy little girls :) Haha
