So it has been so awesome to see the girls start to smile and know that it is a real smile. Chris even got a huge smile from Taylor last week when he said good bye before he left for work. They melt your heart when they stare at you and then break into smile! They are really smiley in the morning, usually after they get their bottles and are chillin' they just hang out with me and smile! Probably one of my favorite parts of the day!

Today was RSV shot day, the home health nurse came over to administer them. This visit also means they get weighed. Sydney no surprise is still leading the pack, but what was surprising is that she is a whopping 10lbs 1oz. Taylor is not far behind at 9lbs 7oz and Brooke is now 8lbs 10oz, not long before she hits that 9lb mark. They are getting so big! So, the not so great part of the day was getting the shots. I always hold them while they get poked, and then for a bit after until they stop crying. Today all three of them did the same thing, gave me a huge smile while I was holding them (I knew the shot was coming) then bam a change from a big smile to a huge frown and screaming, it is heart breaking. They have quite the scream and I am so thankful that the only time I hear a cry of that magnitude is when they get their shots. This particular sound is very different than any other so it is this cry that if we ever hear it outside of shots, we will know that something is majorly wrong. I always think about this after going through the shots: Chris would hate to be present because as much as we have gotten used to their normal cries these really hit you in the heart and I think he would have a hard time hearing it. Poor babies, but very necessary!
