Tonight we attended our first fun raiser with the whole family. It was a spaghetti dinner supporting the United Performing Arts Fund. Rockwell Automation, Chris's employer, holds many events like this throughout the year. When we had kids he really didn't pay a ton of attention to them only because the idea of taking four very small kids to an event like that turns out being more exhausting than enjoyable for everyone. Tonight, we had a really really great time, I have to admit it feels fantastic to have gotten to this point!

Rockwell certainly know how to keep kids occupied and happy. They had a ton of activities for the kids, face painting, bounce houses, magicians and mimes to name just a few. The kids were so excited to have their faces painted, they were so concerned that it was still on the entire drive home and are thrilled that they get to keep them on until baths tomorrow night!

While I try to not make photos look like line ups, sometimes they just do. This particular shot some children are taking the line up VERY seriously. Sydney, Vaughn, Brooke and Taylor showing off their face paint.
Vaughn chose a spider, which cracks me up because lately he has been very scared of them. Sydney chose balloons with her favorite colors. Brooke decided on a blue fish after many mind changes, and Taylor knew just what she wanted, a rainbow heart.

For me, the most exciting part of the night was us getting to go up to the top of the Clock Tower. It is a pretty cool feeling to be up there. Unfortunately, this photo didn't turn our very well, I could kick myself for not bringing my new fancy camera, maybe next year. Here is some really interesting info on the Clock Tower:
The current clock tower stands at 283 ft. Both towers held their respective titles of largest clocks in the world until the completion of the Abraj Al Bait clock tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Each hour hand of the Allen-Bradley Clock Tower is 15.8 feet (4.8 m) long and weighs 490 pounds (220 kg). Each minute hand is 20 feet (6.1 m) long and weighs 530 pounds (240 kg). The hour markings are 4 feet (1.2 m) high.
