I am really really excited to share some really big new! Brooke, Taylor, Sydney and Vaughn are going to be cousins! And Chris and I are going to be a uncle and an aunt for the first time!!! Auntie Ang and Uncle Eric are having twin girls this Summer!! I am so unbelievably excited for them and the adventure they have begun. There has been a lot going on around this news and once again, I am far far behind on catching everyone up on the details.
At the beginning of March I spent a long weekend, my first time away from the kids without Chris, out in beautiful Petaluma, CA. We had such a wonderful time. The weekend began with an awesome lunch on the water overlooking San Francisco and then we were off to set up her registry. I was so happy to be able to help her with this because how the heck are you supposed to know what the you will need when they are your first kiddos? It was a bit overwhelming for Ang and Eric, but we got through it and they picked out a ton of super cute stuff. The rest of the weekend was pure relaxation and a lot of baby talk. We went wine barrel tasting, how can we not do some wine drinking they live 20 minutes from Sonoma! It was a beautiful day and a ton of fun.
We also spent a day at a beautiful spa in Sonoma and shopped, ate yummy food and had a great time hanging out. They really know how to show a girl a good time! It was an extremely relaxing, but I sure did miss my family.

There
is a little picnic table in the cluster of trees and I imagined Chris
and I hiking up to it and having a bottle of wine and lunch. Doesn't
that sound amazing? |

Thankfully Ang has been having a very healthy and good pregnancy. I am so proud of how she is handling everything (Eric too)! She is taking things in a stride and taking such good care of herself, she looks amazing!
The next course of action was a BABY SHOWER! She and Eric traveled to WI for a party in their honor. My Mom and I hosted the shower at my Mom and Dad's house and it was a wonderful day. It was so nice to see Aunts, cousins, friends and neighbors, many many wonderful women. They received many generous gifts and got many things to get them started. It really brought back memories of all the things that you need to have a baby! It is nuts. My Dad, Chris and the kiddos joined the party toward the end which was pretty cool. Here are some pics:
