Up North 2011

This year our trip up North to Grandma and Grandpa's house was delayed due to the grand birth of Vaughn. We ended up going over the Labor Day weekend for eight days. It was wonderful! It took a lot of packing and two carloads of stuff to make it happen, but we all had a great time. The girls played outside everyday which is their favorite thing in the world right now. Many of thier firsts happened while we were there. They jumped in puddles for the first time, gathered pine cones, went to a petting zoo, ate ice cream cones at Kathy's Ice Cream and Candy Shop, fed the ducks off the pier, went on a boat ride, ate at the Paul Bunyan Cook Shanty, played at Plum Lake Park, slid down the big hill in the backyard, fell in love with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and went to a flea market. I am sure I am forgetting something, but needless to say we did a ton of fun stuff. They also LOVED the big stuffed moose (and the dog and the deer). Last year we got pictures with the girls next to the moose, we thought it would be a fun thing to do it annually to see how big they are getting, but it was not in the cards this year, we sure tried! The girls slept awesome (minus the first night) and as I mentioned in a previous post Vaughn became a 12 hour sleeper while we were up there! It was a great trip and we can not wait to get back up there!

Auntie Beth and Justo were up for a visit over the Labor Day weekend and then Busia and Papa came up for a few days toward the end of our stay. Also, The Connerty's and Mary Lynn, friends of Grandma and Grandpa came over for a visit while they were in town! You can imagine the amount of entertainment the girls and Vaughn enjoyed!
